Once again, this MLB campaign has paid off for anybody that has followed me. Just over the last few weeks, I am riding a 66.6% MLB run, and today, we continue to beat the books on the diamond: YANKEES/BLUE JAYS and CUBS/BREWERS GAME 1 WINNERS.

No, I won't argue the fact the Los Angeles Dodgers are a very good team. But I think we can all agree this season they look a little more mortal than we have seen them look over recent seasons. They also have a problem with facing the Philadelphia Phillies, who have taken seven of the last 10 overall meetings between these NL rivals, which does include four or six matchups in 2025. Los Angeles enters this game running red-hot, winning seven in a row. But is not going to be as well rested as a home team here. Philadelphia finished the regular season winning four of their last five contests, and as I mentioned a moment ago, haven't taken the field since September 28. They will come in here well rested and ready, my friends. The Dodgers lose a little something when they travel as they are not as strong on the road as they are at home. They must go into Citizens Bank Park to face one of the best home teams in all of baseball. Yes, the Los Angeles lineup accounts for a little more at the scoring end, but the Philadelphia pitching staff is a little stronger overall. Speaking of which, Ohtani and Sanchez are scheduled. I feel it's a mistake to start the superstar Dodgers right-hander. Yes, he has good numbers on the mound this season. But I just feel his bat is more important to the team. Sanchez is 13-5 with a 2.50 ERA on the campaign. Both starters come into this game running hot. Playing at home, coming in well rested, with a regular starter on the mound, I feel gives the Philadelphia Phillies a big edge in this contest. Take Philadelphia. Thank you.

Alabama is focused! Following the Crimson Tide’s season-opening loss at the hands of the Seminoles on the road, they have now rattled off three consecutive wins and covers, including last week’s outright road victory at the hands of the Bulldogs, 24-21. I feel ‘Bama will come in here with extra motivation, as last season’s meeting with Vandy, resulted in 40-35 loss as a 23.0-point favorite in the first week of October. One thing the Crimson Tide likes is their revenge. Speaking of the Commodores, they're playing some good football, going back to last season riding a six-game straight up win streak, going 5-1 against the spread. This does include wins and covers in both road games against the Hokies, and the Gamecocks. Because the Tide opened their season with a loss, if they want to make a run at the CFP, they cannot take their foot off the gas in any contest for the rest of the regular season. Statistically, the Vanderbilt offense accounts are more points, while their defense is just about as good as their opponents here. But that's on paper, and college football isn’t played on paper, it is played on the gridiron. I see quarterback, Ty Simpson (71.9% completion rate, 9 TD’s/0 INT's, 862 YP) will absolutely pick apart their opponents pass defense, while the very stingy Alabama defense shuts down the Vanderbilt offense. On a sidenote, the Commodores have committed four turnovers, while snagging just three. That's going to be a huge difference here as the Crimson Tide have yet to turn the ball over offensively, and have snagged three takeaways themselves on defense. If this line would've been a little bit lower, I would've put the Crimson Tide out as a premium play. But I still feel very strongly about this. Take Alabama. Thank you.
